The school's catering provider is Chartwells.
Below you can find all menus that Chartwells offer at Ysgol Gyfun Gwent Is Coed.
All of Chartwells menus are developed in line with the Healthy Eating in Schools (Wales) Measures, which means that you can be guaranteed that your child will receive a nutritionally balanced and healthy meal at break time and lunchtime.
As part of our ongoing drive to help parents stay informed of what’s happening at school, we are using ‘Classcharts’ – a website and smartphone app. The new, free, smartphone app for parents is now available for download called ‘Classcharts Parents’ for Apple and Android. Classcharts should be used to report all pupil absences and appointments.
Click here to see how to report an absence in Class Charts.
If your child has to leave school early due to an appointment, parents/carers must inform the school by telephoning on 01633 851614 and choosing option 1. You can also upload evidence of the appointment on gwent.iscoed@ysgolioncasnewydd.cymru.
Students should go to the Main Reception to sign out and then meet their parents outside. They must then sign back in on their return.
